Today I have for you the new Soft Shades Pastels Collection from OPI for 2016. Six creme pastels that you will love for this season.

April showers bring May flowers…and Pastels, six freshly minted OPI SoftShades.

Softly shaded, seriously opaque and knockout gorgeous, these pastels are unmistakably there. Pale

lilac, yellow and green redefine cool, while creamy white makes an indelible impression. Baby peach

and blue have never looked more grown up. All are demure with a bit of an edge, and über chic.

“Inspired by the spring 2016 runways, we offer a fashion-forward interpretation of the pastel palette,”

said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador. “Instead of the expected sheer

and muted look, we’ve chosen a finish that adds a ‘mod’ element to our shades without diminishing

their refinement.”

“This is a color story we absolutely love,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Our pastels play well together, and create a myriad of sophisticated, feminine looks from accent nails to French tips and nail art. Plus, they bring plenty of modern romance to bridal, prom and other spring/summer occasions.”

I did three thin coats for all of the swatches plus a top coat. The formula on these was consistent, they apply streaky on the first coat and reached full opacity by the third.

It's A Boy! A perfect soft baby blue creme.

Stop I'm Blushing! is a very light peachy pink creme.

This Cost Me A Mint is a creamy soft green pastel.

It's In The Cloud is an off white shade with a hint of beige to it.

I Am What I Amethyst is a lavender pastel.

One Chic Chick is a soft dusty yellow creme.

I'm in love with this collection and adore that they don't have the chalky formula most pastels have.
