ZOYA Matte Velvet, Winter 2015 Swatches and Review

***Press Sample***

Hello everyone!

Today I have for you the new collection from ZOYA, these are the Matte Velvet for Winter 2015.

From ZOYA:
Please Note: MATTEVELVET nail color by Zoya is not intended to be worn with a base coat, glossy top coat or speed dryer. Due to the unique matte formulation, color is not as long-wearing as traditional nail color. A completely clean, dry surface yields the best results for matte nail color wear. To extend wear, apply one coat of the Zoya MatteVelvet Topcoat over your favorite matte shades after polish is completely dry.

I didn't apply base or top coat for the swatches below.

Aspen can be best described as a sparkling arctic white with a micronized diamond pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. This applied a little bit streaky on the first coat, I needed three coats to obtain full opacity.

Sue can be best described as a soft champagne gold with a multi-hued oyster shell pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. This has the same formula as Aspen, it was streaky in the first coat so three were needed to achieve full opacity.

Amal is described as a classic crimson red with a ruby red pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. The formula on this was impecable, completely opaque in two easy coats.

Iris can be best described as a deep amethyst with a fuchsia pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. I did two coats.

Honor can be best described as a true emerald green with a tone on tone emerald pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. Great formula, opaque in two easy coats.

Yves can be best described as a deep sapphire that's midway in between indigo and royal blue with a blue pearl fleck in the traditional MatteVelvet finish. This was completely opaque in two coats.

Overall I like this collection, the palette ZOYA offered is full of pretty, beautiful shades for the season. My favorites from these are Aspen, Amal and Yves.

The Matte Velvet Collection is avalable ZOYA'S website, they retail for $10 each or you can get the entire set for $60

Thank you very much for reading!
