Hello Beauties!
Today I have for you the Hawaii collection from OPI. This collection consists of twelve shades with different finishes.
I enjoyed swatching this collection and found some new favorite shades.
Do You Take Lei Away
This is a beautiful creme beige/nude. This is the kind of nude I like against my skin tone. This is two coats, the formula was pretty good.
Suzi Shops & Island Hops
This is a beautiful but not unique shade, it's a bubblegum pink creme. The formula was a little bit streaky and I needed to apply three coats to obtain full opacity.
Is Mai Tai Crooked?
This is a medium orange creme. It applied nicely in two coats.
That's Hula-Rious!
Another pretty shade, this is a pastel mint creme. This has a great formula and was opaque in two coats.
My Gecko Does Tricks
This is one of my picks from the collection, a gorgeous frosty lime green. These kinds of polish es with a frosty finish tend to leave brushstrokes when you apply them, to avoid that, I applied two coats and then applied one more coat using a makeup sponge. This has a beautiful subtle gold shimmer to it.
Hello Hawaii Ya?
This is a medium purple with grey undertones, this applied nicely in two coats.
Just Lanai-ing Around
This my least favorite from the collection, this shade made my hands look so red. This is a pinkish mauve creme with a very subtle (almost unnoticeable) silver shimmer.
This Color's Making Waves
Another winner for me! A shimmery blueish green with a micro pink/gold shimmer in it. I applied two coats and then one more using a makeup sponge.
Go With The Lava Flow
This is a shimmery warm red. The application was good and two coats were needed to obtain full opacity.
Lost My Bikini In Molokini
A mid tone purple creme, this is two coats.
Aloha From OPI
This is a bright coral red creme. Another stunning shade from the set. This is two coats.
Pineapples Have Peeling Too!
I know this polish hasn't received too much love but I have to admit that I really liked it. This is a shimmery golden yellow, it's frosty and have multicolored glitter and micro shimmer in it. I also used the makeup sponge trick on this one to make the brushstrokes less noticeable.
Bonus Picture: Pineapples Have Peeling Too! stamped using the plate BM-713 from Bundle Monster.
Overall I think this is a pretty collection with shades for every taste, the combination of pastels and bright creme makes this set very interesting. The formula and application was excellent with no issues.
My favorites are My Gecko Does Tricks, This Color's Making Waves, Aloha From OPI and Pineapples Have Peeling Too!
Thank you very much for reading!
