Today I have for you the Oz collection that was sent to me from the company for review.
This is the Soft Shades collection for 2013, in this collection we will find three jelly, three glitters and one liquid sand shade.
Glints Of Glinda and When Monkeys Fly!
Glints Of Glinda is a sheer nude jelly. The formula on this was excellent, it applied flawlessly and I used three thin coats.
When Monkeys Fly! is a clear base with gold, silver and holographic glitter. I applied one coat over GoG
Don't Burst My Bubble and Which Is Witch?
Don't Burst My Bubble is a sheer pale pink, this is another great formula and I needed three thin coats to reach opacity.
Which Is Witch? Is a clear base with small hex and bar silver holographic glitter. This one coat over DBMB.
I Theodora You and Lights Of Emerald City
I Theodora You is my favorite of the three jelly, this is a sheer baby pink. This applied smoothly and three thin coats were enough to obtain opacity.
Lights Of Emerald City is a clear base with square white and iridescent glitter. The formula on this one was a little bit on the thick side and some placement of the white glitter was needed. This is one coat over ITY.
What Wizardry Is This?
This is a brownish gold shade with a olive undertone. It has the liquid sand textured finish. This is two coats with no top coat.
Overall I like this collection, the formula on the jellys shades is amazing. The glitters are also great. When Monkeys Fly! is not my kind of glitter but is wearable.

Lights Of Emerald City is lovely but I would love it much (much!) more if the glitters were half of the size they are. Then I would probably buy it. But I really love the effect of the glitter.

ReplyDeleteLights of Emerald City is the only one I picked up. The others are nothing new and innovative and too close to polishes I already have on hand. I wanted When Monkeys Fly!, but everyone reports the large glitters in it tend to "taco" and even OPI is offering to replace it with another from the collection. But yeah, Lights of Emerald City is pretty and it went on smoothly. Like you mentioned "some placement of the white glitter was needed" as I had to fish out and place the white squares, but it looks cute on and layers well. I am satisfied with my purchase.
