The other day I was contacted by Kelly, she offered to write an article for my blog related to nail polish. I hope you enjoy reading her article and leave your thoughts and ideas on the comment section.
Thank you,
Impression of your nail polish
A well-manicured hand with the perfect stylish nail
polish would be enough to make a style statement in itself. When you're out
buying cosmetics, then the most likely you would buy in bulk would be nail
polishes, and these days you have a wide palette of colors to choose from. From
funky electric blue to a cool misty pink - there are so many shades and hues
that you can buy to make your nails look absolutely stunning. Nail art is quite
catching on these days, with the numerous creative possibilities of making your
nails a work of art. From decorating them with glitter and crystals, to
painting them in two different colors in unimaginable combinations and
variations - your nails can really make a lasting impression on the beholder!
Instead of buying countless bottles of exquisite colors
and stuffing them in a bag or drawer, the best thing to do would be to buy
yourself a nail polish rack to show-off your colorful possessions in style,
plus it would also be convenient for you to know which colors you have. If you
are not able to find a nail polish rack, then you could perhaps make one or
even get one made. Nail polish racks save you the pain of having toss out all
the little bottles in order to find the color you need, as they are displayed
in a neat and visible manner.
A lot of ladies strongly believe that expensive salons
can only get you the desired effect on your nails - but that is not true! You
don't need to spend a lot of money in expensive salons to have the perfect
nails, as there are so many DIY kits that you can get in the stores that can
give you the perfect French manicure or even add more glitz to your nails with
some neat nail art! The latest in the range of nail polishes that give you a
quick nail art effect are the spectacular crackle nail polishes that dry fast
and also give a brilliant crackled effect.
Just get yourself a lighter base coat and a darker
crackle color nail paint to give the perfect look. You can play around with
colors to match your dress or even your handbag. Go in for the safe
combinations first and then go wild with your creations, once you get used to
the application. There are so many other easy nail art you can do at home by
using a few crystals and glitter that you can stick with glue and then seal off
with a top coat. Try and experiment to create the most unique nails at home
with a few bright colors and imagination!
Buy trusted brands nail polishes and also do remember to
take off nail paint once a while to give your nails a breather! Nail polishes
can be fun, glitzy and stylish - and you can create a lasting impression with
colors on your nails! Play with your imagination and create the most wonderful
combinations and impress your friends with your nails!

Handbags attracted her attention. These days she is busy in writing an
article on oral

Great article! Very informative! I have a question about giving your nails a breather: I haven't gone without polish for many years now. What harm is caused by doing this? My nails seem to be perfectly healthy. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThere is no harm. It is a myth that nails need to breath. Keep wearing polish - your nails won't fall off.
ReplyDeleteI have some constructive comments about this piece:
ReplyDelete2nd paragraph: Lots of nailpolish lovers store their nail polish in other ways, f.e. in Helmers, Melmers etc. Fact is that a lot of sun and warmth exposure is not good for the composition of the polish. Therefore the story might be more complete if you don't limit yourself to nail polish racks.
3rd paragraph: Amen to that! However, I wouldn't call crackle the latest trend. Trends tend to overlap en re-appear, like crackle and magnetics, and flakies.
4th paragraph: Crackle polishes and base colours exist in any shade (dark or light), so why only mention this specific combo?
5th paragraph: Why only buy from trusted nail brands? Nail bloggers and lovers creating nail polish in their living rooms are becoming very popular. Cult Nails, Lynnderella, Lacquisty, NerdLacquer etc. dare to be original and deliver high-quality products for a fair price. I'd say: experiment a little!
6th paragraph: Nails do not need to breathe! "nails are made of keratin (a protein, just like your hair!), they don't require oxygen and do not need to "breathe" the way your skin does. We figure it's why we can cut our hair and nails continuously without it hurting us." The only thing that nails can do is split because polish dries them out too much, or turn yellowish. But hydrating and buffing them takes away those negative consequences.
Sorry for the long comment, but being a journalist ( and nail polish lover) myself, I couldn't resist.
I like your style of writing though!
I've heard that polish seals in moisture and it's polish remover is very drying. So much conflicting info out there lol. I really appreciate your comment and knowledge.
